Job: Professional Writing and Rhetoric Lecturer Positions at Baylor University NTT (2023-2024)

Baylor University seeks to fill the following non-tenure track faculty position(s) within the College of Arts & Sciences. The Professional Writing and Rhetoric (PWR) Program within the Department of English at Baylor University seeks applications for part-time temporary lecturers to teach first-year writing courses and undergraduate writing courses in the Professional Writing and Rhetoric major, including technical writing, beginning in the fall semester 2023. We welcome applications from candidates with any specialization in Rhetoric and Composition/Writing Studies, including but not limited to new media or digital writing, visual rhetoric, technical communication, writing across the curriculum, editing and publishing, professional writing, or civic and public writing.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Experience teaching first-year writing, advanced composition, and technical writing is desired. Candidates should be able to demonstrate teaching excellence and a dedication to undergraduate teaching. Candidates should have the Ph.D. in in hand at the start of the appointment. Because Baylor is a Christian university, candidates should also demonstrate a faith commitment.
