Dear colleagues,

Jason and I are thrilled to be able to dedicate an entire day to WRITING PLACEMENT in just a few weeks! We hope you’ll join us.

Are you doing the often lonely work of writing placement in a two-year college? Please join us on June 11, at College of DuPage, for a day-long regional conference sponsored by the Council of Writing Program Administrators (CWPA)! This event will provide space and time for local practitioners to share their experiences with colleagues who bring a range of perspectives about placement.

We have a full day planned and will have opportunities for people at any stage of working on writing placement. We’ll build community as we review and consider the national placement landscape and develop analyses of our home institutions. We will aim to leave with concrete steps to take at our home institutions AND a strong sense of community and support from this group!

You can register at this link. Registration fees are $35 for members of CWPA and $45 for non-members. Lunch and snacks will be provided. There are currently 5 hotel rooms available on June 10th or 11th at the College of DuPage’s hotel, the Inn at Water’s Edge (mention CWPA or Professor Nastal when registering). There is also a Hyatt nearby.
