Colleagues,
I’m emailing with a quick reminder that the English Department at Midlands Technical College is hiring a full-time faculty member. We’re particularly interested in people with experience teaching in online spaces and teaching dual-enrollment students. The department is very collegial, with a strong focus on doing what’s best for our students. We hold multiple events throughout the year, culminating with a yearly conference celebrating a variety of student work at all course levels. We are in our fourth year of Guided Pathways, which has led to two new majors (English and Writing) and increased opportunities for program development. Columbia is also a nice town, with multiple cultural opportunities, several other colleges and universities nearby, several cultural venues, and generally pleasant weather.
