Job: Teaching Assistant Professor in Composition at East Carolina University

Hello,

We have reopened a search for a non-tenure track position. We are hoping that we will find someone to start Spring 2025.

From the job posting:

The Department of English at East Carolina University (http://english.ecu.edu) is seeking to fill one fixed-term faculty position with the title of Teaching Assistant Professor specializing in composition to begin in January 2025. This is a full-time non-tenure-track position with an initial appointment up to two and a half years and the possibility of subsequent appointments. The full-time teaching load is typically four courses per semester. Teaching will consist of face-to-face courses, with the possibility that some online courses may be assigned, depending on department and university need. Depending upon a candidate’s credentials, as well as the needs in the department, the Chair may assign other courses and/or duties besides composition teaching. Service to the university, community, and profession is expected. Salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications, and full-time positions include benefits.
