Writing Program Administration-Graduate Organization (WPA-GO) is excited to share a call for committee members to serve for 2024-2025!
WPA-GO provides accessible events and professional development opportunities through meaningful and sustainable graduate student service work. Come collaborate with an international organization of WPA-interested graduate students!
Mentoring Committee – The Mentoring Committee is charged with organizing and facilitating peer-to-peer community building and support networks for graduate students of all levels interested in WPA work across institutions while also organizing mentoring events that provide opportunities to connect with practicing WPAs.
Inclusion Advisory Committees (Outreach, Accessibility, and Diversity) – Made up of three subcommittees, the IAC work towards inclusive measures around working conditions, WPA practices, and access concerns. The Outreach Committee is dedicated to building and sustaining organizational membership from a wide range of institutions, regardless of connections or funding. The Accessibility Committee works closely with other committees to advance accessible communication, center disability perspectives, and to promote inclusive spaces for WPA-GO members. The Diversity Committee facilitates equal access to opportunities for professional development, networking, awards, and funding for all graduate students interested in WPA work.
Digital Presence Committee – The Digital Presence Committee circulates GO-related initiatives, activities, and events, along with research and writing on WPA work broadly. The digital presence committee maintains accounts on Facebook, Instagram, and more!
