Hi all,
We are excited to be accepting applications for Fall 2025 for our MA in Professional Writing.
The MA offers coursework in many forms of specialized writing, including technical, business, and health. Students in the program gain experience in writing and editing articles, promotional material, grant proposals, and reports and creating digital and social media content. They also take classes that focus on design technologies and generative AI. Our curriculum emphasizes the theory and practice of communication processes bridging disciplines and industries and we prioritize experiential learning through client-based class projects and a required internship.
The program is designed for full and part-time students, with courses offered one day a week in the late afternoon or evening. Our students include both recent graduates of BA or BS programs in English, communication, graphics, and the sciences and working professionals turning to part-time graduate study to enhance their careers, improve their chances for promotion, or become credentialed in a different field.
Our application deadline is January 1, 2025 (no GRE or foreign language requirement).
