Job: USM Director for Nationally Competitive Programs and Awards

Dear Colleagues,

The University of Southern Mississippi is hiring a Director for Nationally Competitive Programs and Awards, and we have found that individuals in our discipline tend to excel in these positions.

This is a twelve-month position dedicated to recruiting a diverse group of students to apply for nationally competitive programs and awards and guiding students (and their faculty mentors) through the process of doing so. The individual in this position will work with entities across campus to help students create competitive application packages. The position will be housed in the Honors College but will have the opportunity to work with and mentor students across the University.

We want to hire a colleague who is interested in helping our diverse student body understand that they have what it takes to apply for some of the most prestigious awards out there. Qualified individuals will have the opportunity to teach in the Honors College if they are interested, but teaching is not part of the position responsibilities. We are excited about the ways we can support an advising professional who is interested in working with Southern Miss students.

You can access the job ad here, and, of course, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.

Best,

Joyce
