The Writing, Reading, and Language Center at Montgomery College (Germantown, MD) is in need of a full-time Instructional Associate (staff tutor).
Required qualifications are:
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Composition/Rhetoric, Linguistics, TESOL, Reading, or other closely related or writing-intensive field, such as psychology or law
- Three years of related experience.
- The equivalent combination of education, training, certification and/or experience that provides the required knowledge and expertise to perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.
- Thorough knowledge of the principles and practices of reading, writing, tutoring, language learning theory and/or adult learning theory.
Hiring Range: $27.68 per hour – $35.98 per hour. Initial salary placement for new hires falls between the minimum and midpoint of the range and is based on relevant candidate experience and internal equity. The maximum salary for this position is $44.27 per hour.
