For a timely example of a technical report with implications for international peace and social justice, consider Multipolarization: Munich Security Report 2025.
This 150-page report includes a foreword, executive summary, introduction, eight provocatively titled chapters (on the US, China, EU, Russia, India, Japan, Brazil, and South Africa), a 3-page list of recommended reading, and a 27-page appendix with endnotes, a list of figures, image sources, a list of abbreviations, a list of authors, and acknowledgements. The report also features a variety of statistical illustrations, pull quotes, and summaries of key points to aid reading and information retrieval.
The Munich Security Conference has been meeting annually for 60 years to discuss international security policy. This year’s meeting is February 14-16.
