Event: Workshop at CCCC – Wikipedia Initiative

Dear colleagues,

Are you planning to be at CCCC’s in Baltimore? Please consider registering for our workshop on Wikipedia editing disciplinary topics.

"Playing OUR Songs: CCCC 2025 Edits Wikipedia!" will take place Wednesday, April 9, from 9am – 12pm ET.

This workshop will offer an introduction to Wikipedia as a form of public scholarship, a discussion of knowledge equity, and hands-on experience with editing. The fundamental learning goal of this workshop is to get CCCC members comfortable contributing to Wikipedia and thus helping to expand, deepen, and diversify the knowledge our fields make available to the global public. Our larger aim is to use our skills and expertise to improve knowledge equity on Wikipedia with attention to both content and citations.

Workshop Leaders :
Matthew Vetter, Indiana University of Pennsylvania
Zachary McDowell, University of Illinois Chicago
Nicole Warwick, University of California Santa Barbara
Sweta Baniya, Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University
