Good Afternoon,
I’m excited to announce a new video on More Than Memos. This video highlights the article “Stochastic Publics: The Emergence and Ethics of AI-Generated Publics in Technical Communication” published in The Journal of Business and Technical Communication. The title of Jamie’s article is a play on the longstanding critique of LLMs as “stochastic parrots,” and in extending this concept to publics she both identifies the risks of stochastic publics and suggests human-originated interventions grounded in feminist care ethics.
The video is also a follow-up on our editorial interview with Stephen Carradini published last fall. So if you haven’t taken a look at that video or any of the articles in the special issue, this might be you sign!
