Dear colleagues,
I’m writing to share the following announcements for the CCCC Labor Caucus in advance of our meeting in Baltimore.
1. The Labor Caucus business meeting will take place on Thursday, April 10 at 6:30PM in Meeting Room 315 of the Baltimore Convention Center. We welcome any interested CCCC attendees who would like to discuss how CCCC and our field can address shifting labor conditions in the academy.
2. The Labor Caucus sponsored panel, "’Solidarity Forever!’: Academic Labor, University Austerity, and the Student Movement for a Free Palestine," will take place on Thursday, April 10 at 3:15PM in Meeting Room 317 of the Baltimore Convention Center. This panel discussion will examine actions in support of a free Palestine from a range of academic labor unions. Including a variety of textual materials from social media posts to picket signs, this panel takes a multimodal approach to understanding the rhetorical work of solidarity.
