Job Summary

The Department of General Education at the University of West Georgia seeks applicants for an Assistant Professor in General Education (English or Mathematics ) to begin August 1, 2025. Responsibilities will include teaching four sections of general education courses each semester, in addition to engaging in service and in professional development activities with an emphasis on the scholarship of teaching and learning or scholarly teaching relevant to students in general education courses.

The successful candidate must have a terminal degree in English or Mathematics, or a related field, by contract start date. Experience teaching first-year students in general education courses and experience teaching in face-to-face modality is required. Experience teaching in fully online and hybrid modality is preferred. Experience teaching corequisite learning support is preferred. Experience in teaching, mentoring, and working with underrepresented students is preferred.The position is pending funding availability.

Proposed Salary
