Survey: Analysis and Voice – Seeking faculty responses

Dear everyone,

My colleague Natalia Andrievskikh (Cornell) and I (NYU) are conducting an IRB-approved study of student and faculty perceptions of qualities of analysis and voice in short student, professional, and AI-aided texts. You are eligible to participate if you are a college faculty member who has taught or is currently teaching a writing-intensive course. To determine if you are eligible, we will ask you to self-report your status.

Please complete the confidential survey linked here to share your perspective (or paste this link into your browser: https://nyu.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_396XbH6UtqOQeIm). Completing the survey involves 1) Reading three writing samples of approximately 600 words each; 2) Rating qualities of analysis, voice, and clarity in each of the writing samples; and 3) Defining analysis and voice in your own terms. Completing these tasks will take no more than 30 minutes.

Thank you for considering. Please let us know what questions you have.

With appreciation,

Prof. Natalia Andrievskikh, Cornell University

Prof. Nate Mickelson, New York University
