On behalf of the Maxwell Award Committee, I’m writing to request nominations for the 2025 Ron Maxwell Leadership Award by August 15, 2025.
The National Conference on Peer Tutoring in Writing (NCPTW) has honored leaders involved in writing center mentoring since 1997, when Ron Maxwell was presented with an award for his support of peer tutors, encouragement of collaborative learning, and leadership in NCPTW. After Ron was honored in 1997, NCPTW named the award after him, and each year since 1999, NCPTW has selected a recipient (and sometimes co-recipients) for the Ron Maxwell Leadership Award.
Nominations are due August 15, 2025 and should be submitted to NCPTWMaxwellAward. Each nomination should include:
- a cover sheet listing the name of the nominee(s) with contact information and the name of the nominator(s) with contact information;
- a letter of nomination that clearly indicates why the nominee/s should be so honored and how they specifically exemplify the criteria for this award. The nomination letter is limited to three pages, but may be up to six pages if no additional letters of support are included;
- optional/additional letters of support, no more than two and not longer than two pages each, may accompany the nomination; and
- a “short” curriculum vitae or resume (two pages). (Note that a “short” CV or resume highlights relevant activities and information.)
