New: Critical AI Literacy & CLA (resources + Salon recording)

Hello all,

I’m excited to share that the recording from the Salon I hosted on Monday with Whitney Gegg-Harrison on the topic of “CLA and Critical AI Literacy” is now available on the CLA Collective website, along with the chapter on which we centered the conversation, and an AI generated podcast based on the chapter (which we had a very interesting ‘meta’ conversation about).

It was a rich, nuanced conversation that was clearly about “empowerment” rather than “policing,” as our orientation to Gen AI, which happens to be the framing we use in the chapter 😊

If you’d like to be informed of future happenings and resources related to CLA (Critical Language Awareness) , please join the CLA Collective by filling out the form HERE.

And if you are appreciative of these resources, please consider donating to the Vermont-based (but globally impactful) Language Justice Project, which provides professionally produced (and research-based) healthcare resources to immigrants and refugees around the world in 18 different languages. They just lost most of their funding, which had come from the CDC. (Sigh…)

Thank you!

Shawna
