Survey: Linguistic Equity in Tutor Education

Hello Writing Center Administrators,

Does your writing center:

  • Incorporate linguistic equity into tutor education?
  • Desire to incorporate linguistic equity into tutor education?

If so, I would like to have your help in deepening our field’s understanding of the impact of such education on tutoring practices!

My name is Faith Thompson and I am a doctoral candidate at Salisbury University under the advising of Dr. Heather Porter. I am planning a dissertation focused on linguistic equity tutor education at writing centers. At this stage, I’m hoping to connect informally with those interested in this topic to inform my dissertation.

If this sounds like you, please complete this short (<3 minutes) interest form. Filling it out doesn’t commit you to anything—it’s simply a way for me to gather some initial insight and connect with potential participants down the road. I am happy to connect with you via Zoom as well to hear your thoughts about the topic and your center’s work!

Thank you for your consideration,

Faith Thompson, M.A.T. (She/Her)
