Hello, everyone!
I’m excited to announce the dates for the 2026 South Central Writing Centers Association Conference! SCWCA is the regional affiliate of IWCA for Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, and Texas.
Join us from Thursday, February 26 to Saturday, February 28, 2026 for Constellations of Writing Center Work: Mapping Our Roles. This year’s conference will be hosted by the Writing Center at the University of Oklahoma in Norman, OK. The conference is open to all writing center people, regardless of your location or regional affiliation. (It might be warm here in February– you never know!)
All information about the conference can be found on our conference website. We already have a hotel block reserved, and list some other nearby hotels, too. Travel information can be found there as well as some details about our venue. The CFP will be posted in September after final approval from the board. Our tentative theme revolves around constellations, as we hope to bring together all the individual people and pieces who make all types of writing center work possible.
We hope that announcing the dates early will allow folks to "pencil us in" to your spring plans and budgets.
