Hi TYCA Friends,
The Council of Writing Program Administrators is hosting a free virtual event in partnership with the TYCA Literacy Program Coordination Network:
Mapping Programmatic Responsibilities
Friday, September 19 from 3:00 to 4:00 Eastern Time
Description: How can we partner across institutions and organizations to identify our commonalities and reframe how we discuss our labor? During this event, CWPA and TYCA leadership will collaborate with participants to reflect upon and map their programmatic literacy labor so that we’re better prepared to support and acknowledge the programmatic work that is actually taking place across organizations and institutions.
This professional development opportunity is for anyone who does writing and literacy program development, coordination, mentoring, training, and assessment work both within formal coordinator positions and through other types of faculty labor. Participants will explore their own labor and learn about how to contribute to a national project that documents the varied ways that English studies professionals contribute to college writing and literacy programs. You will also have the opportunity to learn about how engage in free professional activities this year through CWPA and the TYCA Literacy Program Coordination Network.
To register, go to the joanne.giordano. Additional information about the TYCA Literacy Program Coordination Network and 2025 to 2026 seminar will be available later this month.
