The National Council of Teachers of English Assembly for Research invites literacy scholars, educators, and community members to submit a proposal for the NCTEAR 2026 Conference, happening March 6–8 in Columbia, South Carolina!
The conference theme is “Each Other’s Bond”: Researching, Practicing, and Sustaining Literacies of Love. The call for proposals asks us to consider: Where is the love? How can we develop pedagogies and scholarship founded on love for students and communities?
Proposals may explore answers to these questions and others from various contexts of preK–16 English language arts education and literacy research, including after-school and community settings, as well as students whose first language is not English.
We hope you will consider contributing your most compelling and innovative research and classroom practices to these discussions! Proposals are due October 5, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. ET.
