ASST. PROF. ENGLISH – TPC
Francis Marion University and the Department of English and Philosophy invite applications for an Assistant Professor of English specializing in Professional and Technical Communication. This is a tenure-track position. Primary responsibilities will include teaching courses in UX writing and research, technical communication, multimedia writing, business writing, and first-year writing.
The successful candidate will have a research agenda in Professional and Technical Communication and a commitment to teaching business writing, technical communication, and first-year writing. Candidates are expected to excel in teaching and participate in a collaborative, team-oriented environment to recruit majors and participate in the ongoing development of the Technical and Professional Writing Program.
Requirements: A Ph.D. in Professional and Technical Communication or Rhetoric and Composition in hand by the time of appointment (although ABDs nearing completion of their degree will be considered).
