Event: Save the date for DMAC 2026: May 11–18, 2026

Dear Colleagues,

I am thrilled to announce the dates for the 2026 Digital Media and Composition Institute (DMAC), hosted by the Department of English at The Ohio State University. This year will be DMAC’s 20th anniversary, and we invite you to join us in celebrating two decades of innovation in digital media and composition.

DMAC 2026 will be completely onlinewith synchronous sessions takingplace May 11–18, 2026.

Since its founding in 2006 by Professors Cynthia Selfe and Scott Lloyd DeWitt, DMAC has been dedicated to helping scholars and educators explore new approaches to teaching and writing with digital media. Over the years, the institute has evolved alongside emerging technologies and shifting pedagogical needs, always with the goal of empowering participants to bring meaningful, multimodal practices into their classrooms and programs.

DMAC 2026 will continue this legacy of deep engagement with digital literacy. Participants will work closely with faculty and staff through a collaborative, week-long curriculum designed to prepare them to integrate multimodal communication into their home institutions and local communities.

Registration for DMAC 2026 will open on November 17, 2025. We hope you’ll join us for this landmark year as we honor DMAC’s legacy and look toward the future of digital media and composition.

In the meantime, if you would like to learn more about DMAC, please visit DMAC with any questions.

Best,
