CFP: Two weeks left: DRC Blog Carnival on Multimodality, Social Justice, and Human-Centered Praxis

Dear colleagues,

This is a reminder that the deadline for the 24th Sweetland DRC Blog Carnival, “Multimodality, Social Justice, and Human-Centered Praxis,” is just two weeks away.

If you’re interested in contributing theoretical essays, pedagogical approaches, reflections, practical guides, observations, or multimodal pieces to this conversation, please submit your 100-150 word proposal by Friday, January 23rd, 2026.

Completed blog posts will be approx. 850-1000 words (multimodal projects are highly encouraged).

If you have questions or would like to discuss a potential topic, please contact the editors, Ali Alalem (aalalem) and Thais Rodrigues Cons (tcons).

Note for Educators: If you have a syllabus or teaching materials that focus on social justice, please also be on the lookout for a DRC syllabus repository and teaching/learning materials call that will be sent out soon.

Best regards,

Ali and Thais
