Event: Writing Assessment SIG at CCCC 2026!!

Good morning colleagues!

We’re joining the deluge of CCCC 2026 related announcements with one more about the Writing Assessment SIG! We are hosting several events in Cleveland next week that we hope you’ll join us for (see attached flyer):

  • The Writing Assessment SIG Annual Meeting will be on Friday, March 6th from 3:30 – 4:30 PM in Room 26 A in the Huntington Convention Center.
  • The WA SIG is also “sponsoring” two sessions:
    • A workshop titled “Assessment Artifacts Unpacked: A Collaborative Charrette for Writing Assessment Practitioners” on Wednesday, March 4th from 9:00 AM – 12:30 PM in Room 11 in the Huntington Convention Center. If you haven’t registered for the workshop, there is still time!
    • A roundtable titled “Bridging Disability Studies and Writing Assessment: Anti-Ableist Practices in Pedagogy and Scholarship” on Friday, March 6th from 2:00-3:15 PM in Atrium Ballroom Ain the Huntington Convention Center.

We hope to see many of you at one or all of these events! If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us at stacy.wittstock and jburkereifman.

Looking forward to a great conference in Cleveland!
