As we approach today’s 2026 Disability Studies Standing Group Meeting, I wanted to put our annual elections on your radar.
There are two officers whose terms are ending this year. Please join me in thanking Millie Hizer and Kristin Bennet for their service as co-chair and web manager, respectively, and for their time, labor, and advocacy!
I have the pleasure of inviting you all to nominate yourself or someone else to be the web manager or a co-chair of DSSG for the July 2026-June 2028 term. If you’re interested in self-nominating, I encourage you to read the bylaws, which include officer descriptions.
The nominating period begins March 20, 2026, at which time you can submit nominations via the 2026 DSSG Nominations Form.
