Event: AI in Tech Comm Symposium 2026 – Designing Future-Proof Practices Virtual Conference

Colleagues,

I’d like to invite you to attend the upcoming Teaching AI in Technical Communication Symposium 2026: “Designing Future-Proof Practices.” This is the third year for this virtual conference event, which has become an excellent space for the community to share ideas, tools, and experiences as we collectively navigate this moment of rapid technological change.

The keynote will begin at 9:00 AM MDT, March 20. We are excited to welcome Dr. Abram Anders, the Jonathan Wickert Professor of Innovation and Associate Director of the Student Innovation Center at Iowa State University, where he leads the AI Innovation Studio. His keynote presentation, “Co-Designing Agentic Futures: Context Engineering as Technical Communication Expertise,” explores approaches to AI rooted in core rhetoric and communication foundations that can be operationalized at scales ranging from individual tasks to organizational projects.

The program includes research presentations, case studies, demonstrations, and moderated discussions focused on practical and emerging challenges, all absolutely free.

Techne Forge also publishes short peer-reviewed articles and practical reflections on emerging practices in AI and technical communication. You can explore recent pieces at techneforge.com. If you have a classroom activity, workflow, or use case that others in the community might find useful, we would be glad to hear from you.
