2024 Prize in Ethics Contest

I hope you’ve had a refreshing and recharging summer break.
I am happy to share that The Elie Wiesel Foundation for Humanity is once again offering its annual Prize in Ethics Essay Contest. This is a fantastic opportunity for students since it is not uncommon for students to submit essays that they’ve already written for a class. In this light, we hope that you may consider offering our Essay Contest to your students as part of your curriculum, adding the contest announcement in your fall syllabus, and/or displaying our flyer in your department.
The Contest encourages college students to write an essay on a compelling/significant ethical issue. It also provides a willing professor an opportunity to build a meaningful mentoring relationship with the participating student as well as a substantial scholarship for a winning essay.
The site for students to submit their entries is open now through December 29, 2023. Please share this information with any colleagues who might like to extend this opportunity to their students.
