On behalf of the MENA Writing Studies Journal editorial board, I wanted to send a quick reminder regarding our special issue When Mars Attacks: Doing Writing in Times of War. We are interested in submissions concerning praxis, pedagogies, and theories for sustaining our programmatic, classroom, or scholarly work.

Proposals of 300-500 words can be submitted through this Microsoft form by June 30th. The project timeline is as follows:
Proposals due by June 30th
Editorial acceptances by July 31st
First draft submitted by January 15th, 2027
Reviews completed by March 31st, 2027
Second drafts submitted by June 30th, 2027
In press by late 2027/early 2028
