Dear colleagues,
We are conducting a research study on AI use policies in undergraduate technical and professional writing courses and are inviting instructors to participate.
The purpose of this study is to better understand how instructors are approaching the use of generative AI in writing courses and how AI use policies are being developed and adapted across technical and professional writing programs.
If you teach an undergraduate technical or professional writing course, we invite you to complete a brief survey (approximately 5–10 minutes). You will be asked to share the AI policy statement from one course syllabus and answer a small number of optional questions about the course and your approach to AI use. Sharing a full syllabus is entirely optional.

We would greatly appreciate your participation. If you teach multiple courses with different AI policies, you are welcome to submit a separate response for each course.
Please feel free to share this invitation with colleagues who may be interested.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
