New: WLN: A Journal of Writing Center Scholarship Vol 50 Issue 3

Dear Writing Center friends

The WLN editorial team is delighted to announce the third and final issue of the year. Volume 50 Issue 3 (2026) of WLN: A Journal of Writing Center Scholarship is now available. We are open access! The full issue is here: https://wacclearinghouse.org/wln/

This special issue, "Tutors’ Voices in Practice," amplifies WLN as a venue that has long centered tutors’ experiences. This special issue honors WLN’s 50th anniversary and, in particular, our Editor-in-Chief Mickey Harris, for her codification of the Tutors’ Column as a regularly featured and widely impactful section of WLN. This issue is additionally special as it was co-edited by a team of writing center tutors from Queens College, City University of New York. Some of this editorial team also co-wrote the Editors’ Note. Here are links to each of the individual chapters:

Editors’ Note, by August Rayne Bacchus, Andrea Efthymiou, Lianna Lazaros, Denique Noel, Rucha Pradhan, Annalee Roustio, and Natalie Sanchez
Tutor’s Column to the Rescue, by Bonnie Devet
We Play the Believing Game: Tutors’ Columns in Writing Tutor Training, by Mavis Wolff
Those Still Familiar Faces: Reflections on Building Bridges and “The Role of the Emissary”, by Steven J. Corbett
