Hello Writing Studies Friends,
Amy Cicchino, Phuong Tran, Meghan Velez, Shane Wood, and I are writing to announce a series of ideation sessions following the de-chartering of the CCCC organization from NCTE. Participants may attend virtually (through Zoom) or in person.
We invite anyone who lives in Florida and identifies with the writing studies discipline through training or practice to potentially join these sessions. We represent the Central Florida region and are aware that South Florida and Northern Florida will also be hosting ideation sessions.
When will these sessions take place?
Participants can join one or all sessions:

Session 1, 9/11 from 9:00AM-12:00PM: hosted in person at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (1 Aerospace Blvd, Daytona Beach, FL 32114) with ability to also join through Zoom. Register to attend here.

Leverage “the collective perspectives and strengths” of a group

Identify “fluency (volume) and flexibility (variety)” in innovation options
Facilitator notes from these sessions will be shared with members of the WAC Clearinghouse. Participants will also be invited to participate in an accompanying research study.
