  • Specializations: Short Story, Memoir, Multi-Cultural Writing, or Creative Non-Fiction. Publishing industry experience as an editor or writer is preferred.
  • Application materials: 1) CV, 2) Cover Letter which addresses the applicant’s teaching philosophy and approach to working with undergraduates, and 3) Contact Information of three Professional References.
  • Salary: $75,000 – $80,000
  • Teaching Load: 21 credits, or a 3 / 4 teaching load with the opportunity for research course releases. Marist is a teaching school; our department teaches undergraduates across the curriculum for core courses (including first year writing) and English department majors/minors.
  • Location: Poughkeepsie, NY (a 2-hour train ride from NYC)
