The Department of Writing Studies at Montclair State University invites applications for a full-time, 10-month, teaching track, Assistant Teaching Professor position, beginning in August 2027. Primary teaching responsibilities will be in an evolving WAC/WID first-year writing program that includes interdisciplinary partnerships with the sciences, business, and the arts; and in the Public and Professional Writing major, minor, or certificate programs, as appropriate. The teaching load is 4/4.
We seek applicants who specialize in First-Year Writing and one or more of the following areas: Technical and Professional Communication; Multilingualism; or Community-Engaged Writing Pedagogies.
