The Northeast Writing Centers Association invites proposals for our 2027 conference, “Creative Writing Center Communities: Affirming Joy, Play, and Connections”. Our conference will be held in-person at Tufts University, on the weekend of April 3-4. Please see the Call for Proposals attached or on our website to further explore the theme and guidance for proposals.
We welcome proposals from all members of our writing center community: new and established scholars, undergraduate and graduate tutors, professional tutors, faculty, staff, writing center administrators, and anyone else who identifies with writing center work. You are welcome to submit a proposal and attend NEWCA 2027 if you are not currently a NEWCA member or employed within our region. Proposals can be submitted through our submission form, linked below and on the webpage, and are due by December 6, 2026. Accepted presenters will be notified by January 24, 2027.
