Edited by Dana Ferris, Grant Eckstein, and Betsy Gilliland

The current call seeks abstracts of 500 words for response practices to be considered for inclusion in a practical sourcebook on response to writing set to be published with University of Michigan Press. Topics for consideration include the following:

  • Teacher feedback
  • Peer response feedback
  • Guided self-feedback
  • Writing center feedback
  • Technology assisted feedback
  • Responding to writing across the curriculum
  • Responding to graduate writers
  • Writing assessment models as feedback

The audience for the collection will be instructors who work with writing in any form as well as with a broad population of student writers that includes multilingual students. The goal is to provide a highly practical collection of response practices so that new and even veteran teachers could pick the book up and get state-of-the-art techniques for response based on up-to-date research on many topics.
