Hello, writing center folks!
ECWCA is excited to announce a talk with Dr. Genie Giaimo about the timely themes and issues explored in her book Unwell Writing Centers: Searching for Wellness in Neoliberal Educational Institutions and Beyond.
Dr. Giaimo will discuss the development of her project, the significance of the issues she explores, and key findings and insights from the book. She will also discuss where she sees this important work heading in the future, as well as host a Q&A about topics explored in the book, such as mindfulness and wellness, stress and emotional labor, and emergency planning in writing center training and praxis.
ECWCA welcomes all writing center and writing-center-adjacent folks to attend this talk. It will be hosted on Zoom on November 30 at 1pm ET/12pm CT/11am MT/10am PT.
