Planning is underway for the 2024 NCTE Annual Convention in Boston, Massachusetts, carrying the theme “Teaching with Heart, Hope, and Humanity.” Your work in writing, reading, and literacy matters and is valued by the ELA community. Share your experience and expertise with fellow educators who experience the work you do every day by submitting a proposal to present at #NCTE24.
“We teach our students to use their multiple literacies, their ways of understanding the world, to read, write, see, explore, and share. Our literacy practices are enacted ultimately to produce change—change in ourselves, our immediate space, our community, our world.” —Tonya B. Perry, NCTE President-Elect and #NCTE24 Program Chair

All proposals must be submitted by 9:00 a.m. ET, Wednesday, January 31, 2024.
If a full proposal feels out of reach for you this year, please consider submitting an idea for the Classroom Idea Exchange. During the Classroom Idea Exchange, teachers will give five-minute presentations sharing what engages their students in their classrooms. Presenters and attendees will walk away with tangible ideas and resources ready for immediate implementation with their students.
