2024 TBR Podcast Emerging Scholar Award
The goal of The Big Rhetorical Podcast Emerging Scholar Award is to highlight graduate students who make significant contributions to rhetoric, composition, and communications in their teaching, service, scholarship, and commitment to diversity and inclusion. The TBR Podcast Emerging Scholar Award comes with a financial prize of $100.

To be eligible for this award, nominees must:
- Be enrolled in a graduate program in rhetoric, composition, communications, or a related field during the 2024-2025 academic year
- Exhibit effective teaching strategies in the rhetoric, composition, and communications classroom
- Demonstrate a commitment to diversity and inclusion in the community and in the classroom
- Contribute to the development of the field through service to their department, institution, and the larger academic community
- Advance critical conversations in the disciplines through the publication of scholarship (refereed, non-refereed, open-access, and digital works)
To nominate someone for this award:
- Submit an email with your name, institutional affiliation, a bio, and CV as a single PDF to thebigrhetorical
- Explain in the bio how you or your nominee meet the above criteria
- Use the Subject line “Emerging Scholar Award”
