Survey: Interested in Tutor Training? Please Participate in Our Study

Good morning!

It has been a few weeks since Genie Giaimo and I circulated the original call for participants, and we wanted to thank those who have completed the survey. We’ve had great responses, but we’re greedy for more! To those who’ve completed the survey and have indicated interest in being interviewed, we will reach out to you soon. 🙂

We are writing to ask for participation in a research study titled “Assessing Tutor Training Models and Interventions Among Writing Center Practitioners.” It is designed to scope the current approaches and best practices around tutor training and preparation in writing center studies. To date, there has not been a comprehensive overview of current and past training practices in our field–this project aims to catalog our training practices alongside current challenges and opportunities for tutor professional development in our field.
You can access the survey here: https://hofstra.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_cHKnN5LTPZ6mEmy
This survey is designed to be deidentified, meaning that we will not share any identifying information in data reportage from this study. However, if you indicate interest, we will reach out to you for follow-up interviews and/or collection of training materials.
We look forward to working with you!
Best,
Dan & Genie
