Event: CCCC WAC Standing Group Announcements

Three announcements for the CCCC WAC Standing Group:

  1. The CCCC Writing Across the Curriculum Standing Group (WAC SG) meeting will be on Thursday night at 6:30 in Meeting Room 319. Afterward there will be a social event in collaboration with AWAC and WAC Clearinghouse at Section 771, which is a 10 minute walk from the convention center.

  1. The WAC Standing Group is also sponsoring a panel, "Taking Up WAC Challenges in the Current Moment: AI, Antiracism, and Sustainability." It will be from 3:15-4:30 on April 10, 2025 in Meeting Room 314.

  1. The WAC Standing Group is also seeking members and nominations for the position of Incoming Chair. The Incoming Chair assists the Chair and Outgoing Chair in selecting a Sponsored Panel, planning the business meeting, and planning other WAC SG activities. This is a three-year commitment starting after the 2025 CCCC WAC SG Business Meeting in Baltimore, as the Incoming Chair rotates to Chair and Outgoing Chair. To nominate yourself, send a brief bio statement (100 word limit) to Elizabeth Wardle (wardleea) by Wednesday, April 2 with the subject "CCCC WAC SG Nomination." If you would like to nominate someone else, please send their name, title, and email to me by that same date.
