Nominate: Associate Chair of Transnational Composition Group

Dear colleagues,

I’m writing to invite you to nominate a colleague (or yourself!) to run for the open officer position of Associate Chair in the CCCC Transnational Composition Group (TCG).

According to our bylaws, in odd numbered years, the TCG nominates and elects individuals for the position of Associate Chair by electronic ballot. Those elected will immediately assume their new duties on the day after the close of 2025 CCCC and will automatically rotate into the role of Chair after completing a two-year term.

As we prepare for this rotation, we need your assistance nominating a new Associate Chair. Nominations are due by Wednesday, May 7th, 2025. Please record your nominations on the following form:

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1k68-3O8MY15zwfTKuB8qC9dF2QN62yLUFs4KtG7vGnc/edit

We kindly ask that you consider the following important criteria as you make your nominations: involvement with our Transnational Composition Group (TCG) and evidence of strong commitment in research, teaching, and service to advancing our group’s mission.

Once nominations are submitted, I will confirm the interest of nominees before sending an electronic ballot to members of the Transnational Composition Group for a vote.

Below is a summary of the responsibilities of the Chair and Associate Chair (as the latter will assume the position of the former after serving for a two-year term):

Associate Chair

Best,
