Event: RHM Symposium Registration & Program and Call for Schuster Mentoring Award Nominations

Hello,

We are happy to share registration information and a draft program for the 2025 Rhetoric of Health and Medicine Symposium to be held October 17-18, including two hybrid keynote addresses during that time and two virtual workshops to be held before the Symposium. In addition, we are seeking nominations for the Mary Lay Schuster Mentoring Award.

Registration
Registration for the RHM Symposium is now open. Please register by October 1 to ensure we have a clear sense of numbers for space and catering. The registration site will collect information about accessibility and dietary requirements. Travel and other information is available on the Symposium website.

Hybrid Keynote Addresses
While most of the Symposium is in-person, our two keynote addresses by V. Jo Hsu and Christa Teston will be available via Zoom. Virtual attendance is free but will require registration. See the draft program for days and times.

Virtual Workshops
Workshops will be held virtually in advance of the Symposium this year. Please note that Workshop B is actually the first one.

The workshops do require a nominal registration fee ($25) to support our event, which includes access to both workshops. Registered workshop participants can also attend our hybrid keynoes.

Mary Lay Schuster Mentoring Award: Call for Nominations
We are now accepting nominations for the Mary Lay Schuster Mentoring Award, which honors outstanding, generous mentors within the rhetoric of health and medicine. If you would like to nominate someone, please complete the nomination form by Thursday, September 25.

Thank you, and we hope to see you soon!
