Dear ATTW colleagues,
I am conducting a study about the existing state of and attitudes towards Study Abroad courses in technical and professional writing.
Procedure If you decide to participate, you will be asked to complete a brief survey. You will be asked questions about:
- whether you studied abroad as a student,
- if you currently (or formerly) lead/led a study abroad program,
- if you are considering creating/leading a study abroad program, or
- if are not interested in a study abroad course for your TPW courses at this time.
I am using the fieldwide survey as a sampling method/starting point to collect in-depth discussion points for this study. The main findings will come from the subsequent interviews. I am particularly interested learning more about affordances or barriers to study abroad creation.
The survey should take approximately 12 minutes of your time, with the option of participating in a 30-minute, one-on-one follow-up interview with the researcher about your experiences.
