Job: Adjunct Need, Winthrop University

Winthrop English Department is looking for adjuncts, Particularly if there is people who have background in both 101 and TPC. We currently are anticipating about 1100 new freshman for the fall, which currently leaves us with about 13 sections unmanned of 101. We would highly prefer to have these instructors for in person classes as our online offerings are already robust. There isn’t currently a place to apply online due to a vendor change in hiring process, so right now our Composition director, Leslie Bickford, is taking CVs directly at bickfordl.

There will likely be a need for adjuncts for our other core gened classes as our enrollments are increasing. Our professional communication course, 465: Rhetoric in the Professional Workplace, is one of these. There is a course shell for this one, and I will mentor directly anyone stepping into this course. If there’s questions or interest about this course, they can reach out to me.
