Survey: Tutor Experiences of WC Staffing

Hello!

My name is Beth Towle and I am an Associate Professor of English at Salisbury University. I would like to invite you to participate in my research study to understand the experiences of writing center tutors during the recruitment, hiring, and training phases of staffing. You may participate if you are an undergraduate/peer, graduate, or professional tutor over the age of 18. You must be currently working in or worked in a writing in the last two years.

As a participant, you will be asked to fill out an anonymous survey that takes about 15 minutes to complete and is composed of both closed- and open-ended questions. Like all studies, this one contains the risk of discomfort or loss of time in completing the survey. However, it will also give participants the benefit of reflecting on their staffing and tutoring experiences. The survey is anonymous and cannot be tied to your identity or your institution. Participation is voluntary and will not impact your standing or relationship with Salisbury University.

The first 50 participants will each receive a $10 Barnes and Noble e-gift card as a token of my gratitude for your time.
