Dear Colleagues,
The CCCC Writing through the Lifespan Standing Group invites proposals for our sponsored panel at the 2027 conference in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. This year’s panel, "Designing Amid Complexity: Disrupting Continuity in Lifespan Writing Research," explores what comes into view when we understand rupture, asymmetry, and contested memory as constitutive, not exceptional, to lifespan writing and lifespan writing research (LWR)? We invite proposals that examine writing and writing development to show how disruption is narrated, managed, and unevenly recorded in classrooms, communities, digital spaces, and beyond: which writing lives become legible within LWR’s analytic frame; which remain structurally occluded?
We welcome 200-300-word proposals from scholars at all career stages, including graduate students, early career faculty, and multiply marginalized or underrepresented scholars. Co-authored submissions are welcome. The deadline for proposals is Tuesday, May 19 at 11:59pm Central.
Please find the full CFP attached, and reach out to Erin (workman.erin) with any questions. We look forward to reading your submissions!
