Dear Graduate Students,
The Writing Program Administration Graduate Organization (WPA-GO) invites proposals for our upcoming Graduate Research Series, which will be take place via an online symposium. This year’s symposium is seeking the experiences of graduate students managing individual research, teaching, WPA responsibilities, personal life, etc. What is the emotional labor hidden in all of these major responsibilities and roles? How does your linguistic, cultural, and academic identity condition your work as a graduate student? In turn, how has your work as a graduate student reshaped your positionality as an emerging scholar and practitioner in the field of rhetoric and composition? We welcome proposals that speak to the visible and hidden labor graduate students undertake and the effects of that labor on one’s own positionality.
