New: TESOL Applied Linguistics Forum Volume 46, Issue 1

Dear colleagues,

Hope you are doing great!

Curtis and I are pleased to announce the publication of Volume 46, Issue 1 of Applied Linguistics Forum, the official newsletter of the Applied Linguistics Interest Section at TESOL International Association.

In this issue, we bring together a fantastic line-up of topics that demonstrate the breadth of our field and our ongoing pursuit of knowledge, from computational linguistics, generative AI in listening and speaking, translingual personal narrative of identity and literacy, linguistic justice in community colleges, translanguaging, situated pedagogy, ESL learners with dyslexia, to the intersection of multiliteracies and systemic functional linguistics. A detailed article list is provided below our signature, and all articles are open access.

We are also now seeking submission proposals for Volume 46, Issue 3, to be published around November/December this year. We welcome submissions in the following categories: Keywords in Applied Linguistics, Feature Article, Book Review, and Author/Reader Response. Interested contributors can read the full call for proposals to better understand AL Forum and our submission categories. Proposals can be submitted via this Microsoft Form by July 15: https://forms.cloud.microsoft/r/s6PHPWFaA1. We review submissions on a rolling basis, and a decision notification is usually available within seven working days of submission.

Should you have any questions, comments, or inquiries, please feel free to contact us at andyjiahao-liu or Curtis.Green-Eneix. We hope you enjoy reading this latest issue, and we look forward to receiving your submissions.

Happy reading,
