CFP: Watson Conference on Rhetoric and Composition 2026 Deadline Extended

Hi all,
We are extending the deadline for the Thomas R. Watson Conference in Rhetoric and Composition to August 15th. We’ve attached a longform poster, and a bit more information, here. What happens at the Watson Conference?
This year, the conference consists of five workshops hosted by co-facilitators who are specialized in the topic of the workshop. Over the course of the conference, each workshop will discuss, collaborate, and develop work to achieve distinct outcomes aligned with the nature of the workshop’s theme.
Where and When?
The Watson Conference will be held from Nov. 5-7th, 2026 in downtown Louisville, KY. Details about lodging and travel recommendations will be distributed upon admission. Applications will be reviewed beginning August 15th.
Who is the Watson Conference for?
Rhetoric & Composition graduate students, emerging scholars, faculty—the conference will be equally enriching for individual academic work, professional development, and collaboration toward each workshop’s intended outcome!
