Hello Everyone,
With the academic year starting, we wanted to reach out to remind people that the Undergraduate Journal of Contemporary Issues and Media is accepting papers from undergraduate students across all majors. If you have any undergraduate students whose papers you believe would be a good fit for our journal, please send them our way! This year our theme is the Declaration of Independence and Democracy: A Retrospective. I have attached a copy of the CFP. We also consider papers that do not address the theme. The deadline for submitting is September 1, 2026.
The journal is prepared and published by students in a series of courses, the first, Editing for Publication. This has been an excellent practicum experience for our students and for those who contribute to the journal. The journal can be found here: https://writing.utah.edu/undergraduatejournal/index.php
